The one-line version
All calculations on BijliCalculator run in your browser, on your device. There is no account system, no login, no newsletter, no ads and no analytics trackers on the calculators. Entering your units, your state or your meter readings sends nothing to our server.
What we store on your device
Two small things are saved in your browser's local storage so the site behaves the way you set it:
- Your theme preference (light, dark or auto) — so the site does not flash the wrong theme on your next visit.
- Your language preference (where the language switcher is available) — so the interface stays in your chosen language.
Both live only in local storage on your device. They are not transmitted anywhere, and clearing your browser's site data removes them.
What we do not collect
- No account — there is nothing to register, so there is no password, no email, no phone number.
- No usage analytics on the calculator pages — we do not run tracking scripts that record what you entered.
- No cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking — there is no advertising on the calculators.
- No payment data — the site is free, and nothing asks for a card.
When your data could touch a server
In exactly three situations, and each is optional:
- Emails to us. If you use the contact page, the email you write goes to our mailbox. We use it only to reply; we do not add you to any list.
- External links. The tariff directory and blog link to regulator websites, DISCOM portals and official documents. Once you leave bijlicalculator.in, those sites' own privacy policies apply.
- Web fonts. The site's font may load from a font provider's CDN, which by its nature sees a request from your browser. No personal data is attached to it.
Third parties
We do not sell, rent or share personal information with anyone. We have no partners that receive data from the site, and because the calculators run client-side, there is no data pipeline to share in the first place.
Children
The site is a utility calculator for adults managing household finances. It does not target children and collects nothing from anyone regardless of age.
Changes to this policy
If we ever add a feature that changes what is collected — for example, a saved-bill history stored on our servers — this page will be updated with a clear explanation before the feature launches, and the date at the top of the page will change.
